A Card A Day Project
After the struggle I’d had at the end of last year with
creating, I wanted to make sure I was starting the year with the challenge of making
art once a day. I had a pack of small cards that I decided I’d use for this
project, as they gave me a very restricted space to work in (they are
approximately 1x2 inches). I thought this would be a way to try out new ideas
as well as work on my composition, which is something I’ve been meaning to do.
Making them so small I thought would give me a better opportunity to work
outside, while on the go.
As you will see, I went through a few phases while working: of using the same media or working in the same style. I still ended up with a range of small works that had quite a bit of variety.
It was a fun project to start my year with and was very easy and low-effort, which definitely helped me keep on top of it.
Here they are laid out, week by week. I started on the 1st January and finished on the 13th February, which is a total of 44 days.
Some of these designs or ideas are hopefully ones I'll come back to or expand upon at a later date.
