Negative Journal Look Through (Finished Journal)
I made a post last
September talking about an idea for a project I’d had. It was a journaling project
where I work in two journals simultaneously: a positive journal for good days
and a negative journal for bad days. I ended up completing the project at the
end of February and did a couple of blog posts here looking through my positive journal and my negative journal. Unfortunately, or
fortunately depending on how you look at it, I hadn’t manged to fill all the pages
in my negative journal at the time, so said I would update you again when I
had.
This is that update and these are the rest of my pages in my
negative journal.
It is interesting to me that by the end of my positive
journal there was a clear style and favoured colour combinations emerging, but I
feel like in this journal there is much less of that. There is a greater
variation in colour and more adventurous colour combinations, I suppose because
I’m typically working quicker and therefore are less considered in my choices.
It is interesting, at least to me, to see that that isn’t always a bad thing
and had created some interesting pages which I don’t think I would have done otherwise.
I did say, at the end of my part two post, that I was going to carry on my positive journaling and
work in my junk journal. I have made
a start on that, but for whatever reason, I am really struggling to work in
that journal. I want to persevere with that, so I’ll keep trying, but I might
end up just finding or making a new journal to work in. If I finish another art
journal, I will be sure to show you another look through.
